Users can now trade Eth tokens more conveniently and migrate their tokens from Uniswap V1 to Uniswap V2 using the TokenPocket app. TokenPocket made this announcement on Twitter.
Uniswap is a fully decentralized protocol for automated liquidity provision on the Ethereum blockchain. It’s like a decentralized exchange but the way it works is that it allows users to exchange tokens using pools of tokens filled by liquidity providers who receive a fee for each swap facilitated by the system.
Uniswap V2 was launched on May 18th after months of testing, and it introduces new features like flash loans, direct ERC20 pairs, and price oracles.
In this post, you’ll learn how to trade using Uniswap V2 on TokenPocket and how to migrate funds from V1 to V2, also using TokenPocket.
How to Trade on Uniswap V2
Step 1
If you don't already have the TokenPocket app, you’ll have to download it and have it installed on your phone and then import your Ethereum account to the app. TokenPocket is available on Android and iOS.
Step 2
On the TokenPocket homepage, click on “discover” and then on the DApp Browsers, search for Uniswap.
Step 3
You would be able to log in to Uniswap automatically as the TokenPocket app provides secured access.
Step 4
Select the token you are swapping from and the desired token you want to receive. In the above example, I’m trading Eth for USDT.
Step 5
Click on ‘swap’, and then confirm the transaction.
How to Migrate Liquidity
To migrate from V1 to V2, search for “Uniswap V2 Migration” on the DApp browser.
The following instructions were provided by Uniswap:
*For each pool, approve the migration helper and click migrate liquidity. Your liquidity will be withdrawn from Uniswap V1 and deposited into Uniswap V2.
*Once you’ve completed the migration you can view your liquidity on the new Uniswap V2 interface. If your liquidity does not appear below automatically, you may need to find it by pasting the token address into the search box.
