Activate your BOS Accounts Now. BOS Community is Planning to Burn your Tokens.
On January 1, 2019, BOSCore took a snapshot of the EOS mainnet and created corresponding BOS accounts on the BOS Mainnet for every EOS account. BOSCore made a 20:1(EOS:BOS) airdrop of BOS tokens to every newly created BOS account and the minimum BOS that every account got was 0.5 BOS irrespective of their EOS balance. Every EOS account holder before January 1, 2019, therefore, has a BOS account with some BOS tokens in it. Your genesis BOS accounts have the same private keys as your snapshot EOS accounts but they have different usernames.
BlockGo submitted a proposal on BOS Worker Proposal(boswps.io) for the burning of BOS Tokens in accounts which have been inactive. Inactive accounts are accounts which have not done any transaction on the BOS mainnet. According to the proposal, the goal of the burn is to promote the follow-up development of the BOSCore mainnet and community. The proposal states that if the community approves, the token burn will occur two weeks after the approval. You can read the details of the proposal from this link.
Just a day after the proposal was put on boswps.io, major stakeholders in BOS voted with over 20 million BOS Tokens pushing the proposal beyond the 40% threshold. All votes were in favour of the proposal. The fact that this proposal passed the 40% threshold so quickly with 100% “yes” votes in favour and 0% “no” votes is an indication that the community supports the proposal. Apparently, the proposal is good for the community.
BOSCore has therefore released a statement on Twitter that the date for the token burn is 27th of November, 2019.

You can activate your BOS account by:
- Sending some BOS Tokens to another account.
- Staking/unstaking some BOS.
- Voting for BPs using bloks.io.
- Voting for BOS Worker Proposals via boswps.io.
