BOSCore community has successfully burned 43.95 million BOS tokens worth $679,651.39 (@ $0.015/BOS). These tokens were distributed through an airdrop done on the 1st of January, 2019. They were unactivated for about 11 months before Blockgo submitted a proposal on BOS Worker Proposal System(boswps.io) to burn the tokens.
The purpose of the burn was to promote the follow-up development of the BOSCore mainnet and community. The community supported the proposal by voting through a referendum at boswps.io.
